As a part of Railway budget Mannargudi is benefited with two new train announcements, There is a new train connecting Mannargudi to Tirupati-Tri weekly which is expected to be launched soon, final announcement is pending, as usual DMK party workers making all this announcements in Mannargudi region well before budget.
Daily Passenger train DEMU currently running between Mannargudi to trichy is extended till Manamadurai.
There is no announcement about Mannargudi track doubling work, Mannargudi to Pattukottai new track laying plan.

ReplyDeleteThe tri-weekly Mannargudi-Tirupathi express will start service from July 3, according to T.R.Baalu, MP and chairman of Railway Standing Committee.
ReplyDeleteHe told presspersons at Mannargudi on Friday that the train will leave Tirupathi at 10.25 a.m. on July 3 and will run via Katpadi, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Sirkali, Tiruvarur and Nidamangalam and will arrive at Mannargudi at 10.35 p.m.
From Mannargudi the train will leave at 5 a.m. and will reach Tirupathi at 5.45 p.m., Mr. Baalu said.
The train will be operated from Tirupathi on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. From Mannargudi, it will be operated on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
